A NEW HOME FOR ELGIN ST. THOMAS PUBLIC HEALTH . . . Elgin St. Thomas Public Health is on the move. The region’s health unit is in the process of moving out of its office on Edward St. in St. Thomas and into a new energy-efficient building at 1230 Talbot St. “Im very excited,” said David Warden, chairman of the region’s board of health, which oversees the health unit. “Im excited for the staff, and the fact is theyre going to have a better facility to operate out of and to offer all the services that they offer to the people of St. Thomas and the county.” Workers are putting the finishing touches on the new 30,000 sq. ft. building, which opens officially on Tuesday.
