A NINE HOUR ADVENTURE Ok, so Genia was having a camp out with granddaughter, Scarlett last night in the backyard. I bid them goodby in their great adventure. Worked outside some Saturday so being tired I lay down and watch TV about 9pm. Being used to my honey being there, it took me a long while to go to sleep. Finally dozing off I am awakened at midnight by some kind of alarm. I stumbled through the house, (do that a lot), listening for the origin. About the time I figured it out, my other granddaughter shut her phone alarm off. Why oh why would it be on, I dont know. Back to bed and finally sleep came again. Ring......Ring.....Ring.....5am....home phone going off. What tha?.....picked up the phone, no glasses so as I again stumbled through the house, muttering it must be the hotel...I see its 5am...more muttering...look and its Genias cell phone in the back yard..I opened the door and a little storm was just starting complete with thunder and lightning and rain. They scurry in, which they could have done without my assistance, just saying. About that time, and heres where it gets interesting, a neighbors Great Pyrenees, very large, seemed like 200 lb. dog became scarred and decided he wanted on our screened backporch. One swipe of a paw and the bottom of the screen door went rip.... We made effort after effort to scurry him away and he was having none of it. Finally I had to pop a couple of firecrackers to get him to leave.... Yawn....Here we sit with coffee now listening to the rain. An unusual way to start my day, but a very memorable one..Happy Sunday on Memorial weekend day two....... ~yawn~
