A New Day - Its 4:30 am (June 3) at cloud and fog covered Craggy Gardens. Driving north on the Parkway I slowly descended out of the clouds and suddenly near the road to Mt. Mitchell, the light of a new day appeared far on the eastern horizon. I quickly set up and then patiently waited. In this time-lapse video, the sun rises almost directly over Table Rock Mountain. The faint silhouettes of Table Rock and Hawksbill can be seen at the very end of this video. Total shooting time was approximately fifty minutes (nearly 500 images). at Ridge Junction Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
