A New Shade of Blue by The Bobby Fuller Four. Today would be the 72nd Birthday of Robert Gaston Fuller. Bobby wrote most of his songs with collaboration from his brother Randy. But he sometimes worked in great covers of Buddy Holly Classics -- and in this case, the BF4 even recorded a song composed by songwriter Mary Stone --- who is the mother of Rick Stone -- who passed away just two days ago, on what was his mother Marys own birthday. Before becoming one of Frigidaires top salesman in the 70s and 80s, Rick had even been a young roadie helping out with equipment loading and set up for the Bobby Fuller Four fifty years ago.
