A New Song Psalm 40:2b-3 (New Living Translation) He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord. Revelation 21:5 (New King James Version) Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” I’m walking in the darkness of the valley again, but it’s all good. My countenance is bright and my steps are sure knowing that this is where the Father chooses to meet me. I don’t know why He has left us here stuck in time; it’s probably too wonderful for my mind too comprehend anyhow. Meanwhile there is a battle of faith and trust raging in the trenches of my soul. It’s hand to hand combat, my hand in His hand without fear of any foe. Then unexpectedly, without even asking comes a gentle touch. Not the kind that sets you reeling with joy for days but a reassuring touch that makes you tear up with gratitude and love. Than all of a sudden the song I’m listening sounds like a new song. It’s the same old song, the only thing new is the condition of a heart that’s been touched by God. He really does make all things new when He first changes your heart. Just Saying… I hate to skip my daily Bible reading or prayer walk. It’s not that I’m afraid God is going to punish me or be displeased with me I’m afraid He’s not going to do anything at all and that I would stay the same and never change at all.
