A Note from The Thunderbolt Chapter of United States Cavalry and Armor Association President: Fellow members of the Cavalry and Armor branch, My name is Bob Gahagan. I have assumed the duties of President for the newly formed Fort Benning Area Thunderbolt Chapter of the U.S. Cavalry and Armor Association. Given you are all members of the National U.S. Cavalry and Armor Association and live in the area surrounding Fort Benning, GA, I would like to invite you to affiliate with our chapter. In doing so there is no additional membership cost and this action will allow you greater access to Armor School updates and planned Chapter activities. If you wish to join us as a Thunderbolt Chapter member, you can log on to the USCAA National web site HTTP://CAVALRYANDARMOR.COM and select MY ACCOUNT. Once there you select EDIT/VIEW INFORMATION and then once there scroll down to CHAPTER AFFILIATION and select THUNDERBOLT CHAPTER Once you have completed these steps, click SAVE and you are mission complete. This option allows the National association to track you individually as being affiliated with our local chapter. Currently, we are working to obtain Fort Benning legal authorization (through the FMWR office) to start conducting sponsored fund raising activities and we will keep our membership updated on this progress. We also wish to invite chapter members to attend future Soldier graduation ceremonies here on Fort Benning. Additionally, once we have completed our chapter membership update, we will start holding chapter meetings to plan future social events and activities aimed at strengthening our chapter and supporting our Calvary and Armor Soldiers. I look forward to hearing from each and every one of you in the days ahead as we join ranks to support Soldiers and make our new chapter the strongest in the Cavalry and Armor community.
