A Note from our College President today..... Thanks to all of your efforts, Grays Harbor College has been ranked the number one community college in the State of Washington and number 15 among about 700 community colleges nationwide. A report just released by Washington Monthly ranks colleges on a series of criteria. Also on the list are Cascadia (22), Green River (44), Tacoma (46) and Highline (47). Specifically Washington Monthly, a national nonprofit magazine in Washington DC, gives high marks to community colleges based on student responses concerning quality of teaching and data on retention and graduation rates. (Data came from the Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE) and U.S. Department of Education measures of student retention and completion.) This is the 8th year for the national report. These are definitely top rankings for our College and I am incredibly proud of everything you do to help our students. It’s nice to have someone outside of the college recognize all of your outstanding work!
