A PLACE OF DECISION Daniel 3:16-18, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, ‘O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.’ ” We are who, where and what we are as a result of a decisions we make. All of us who have fallen made a decision and all of us who have not fallen, faced similar temptation yet made a different decision. The Holy Spirit always leads us to a place of decision. But you are responsible for what you give your attention to. As long as you hold fast to your confession of sickness, poverty, failure and defeat, you will still have them. If you think failure, talk failure, move with people who failed and really believe in failure, failure will never leave you. But he who moves with the wise will become wise. At the place of decision, Jabez decided to turn his life from pain to prosperity; Job refused to sin against God with his lips when brought to the place of decision with his wife; The three Hebrews, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego decided to commit themselves into the hand of God; King David decided to be victorious at the place of decision on the battlefield; Apostle Paul decided to stand for the truth in the court of Caesar; our Lord, Jesus Christ made the decision of a champion even on the Cross of Calvary. What decision did you make? Decisions create events. Make a decision that creates the future you desire. The rate at which you feed your soul with God’s Word determines the outcome when you come to the place of decision. Read God’s Word, it is your spiritual weapon. It is with you in the living Word, it is in your pocket but you are not using it. The Word will not work by itself; we make it work by the way we live. Make a decision to make the Word of God the standard for your life and begin to live the life of a champion. Champions are not crowned for desiring to be crowned, they are crowned because they made a decision and defeated their enemy.
