I’ve always paid my OWN way in life and always donated too many cancer causes. But, this current time in my life is beyond my control and belief! February 2013, a biopsy of my Prostate showed a very aggressive 90 percent cancer of my prostate. The doctor was willing to operate free for me the next week, due to my finances, with the “daVinci Surgery” method. That week, I just started a new job to catch up on several months of past bills after being unemployed for 11 months, so I couldn’t have the operation. My plan was to work 6 months, (Against his advise) get current on my bills, which I did, plus save up money for the soon to have operation recovery time costs. I then planned to take a medical leave of absence without pay and have that job to go back too after recovery. Unfortunately, me and 80 other people were laid off after only 4 1/2 months and again I’m very behind in ALL of my bills. Since it’s been 8 months of my the biopsy, my doctor made it VERY, VERY, VERY clear to me that I needed my prostate removed ASAP and hope the cancer hasn’t spread throughout my body by now. He scared the heck out of me. The past week I had to refuse a job offer From Toyota!! If I get r-called back to my other job, I’ll have to refuse it as well. I would rather keep my cancer from spreading. My recovery time is 4 to 8 weeks. I’m trying to keep from becoming homeless shortly after surgery. The American Cancer Society, The Duncan Fund, Touch as well as ALL the local church’s and charity’s here in the Evansville area, have done all that they could with what funds they had available. Thank you, I desperately need your HELP! Please pray for me and any family member with cancer..
