: A POT OF PORRIDGE GOLDEN SCRIPTURE: Then Jacob gave bread and Lentil stew (porridge) to Esau; he ate, drank, got up and went away. So Esau despised his birth right. Gen. 25:34 A pot of porridge is a trap from the devil to rob & steal your birthright. Your birthright is your relationship and fellowship with God. Some believers are selling their birthright to the devil and his agents directly or indirectly, consciously or unconsciously for food, money, helps, clothes, fame, houses, handsets etc. Esau sold his birthright just for a pot of porridge or rather a plate of porridge. Esau allows his hunger for food to rule and ruin his destiny. May you not allow your needs to rob you your destiny in Jesus name, Amen! Jacob said to Esau, to have my food, just sell me your birthright; let’s exchange my food with your birthright. Then Esau said, yes I will use what I have to get what I want. There are many people today who will not help you until there’s an exchange. The question is, is one plate of food worth more than your birthright? Is a plate of food an alternative to your birthright? We’re taught in economics that for a commodity to be an alternative to another, it must be a close substitute, it must at least give70% satisfaction than the other. Don’t be Esau that has no value for his birthright, don’t exchange God for anything. PRAYER: Oh Lord help me to value my relationship with you.
