A PRIMARY school has expressed its sadness following the death of one of its pupils in a car crash earlier this week. The 11 year old schoolgirl, who has been named locally as Angel, died after the car she was travelling in on the A31 between Farnham and Alton hit a tree on Monday evening. Katy Pinchess, headteacher of Bentley Primary School, said: “Staff, governors and parents were shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the tragic loss of one our pupils earlier this week. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time. With the help of the county council, we are doing all we can to support pupils, parents and staff and arrange access to counselling for those who may need it.” Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened at around 7.30pm one mile west of the Coxbridge roundabout. The female driver was taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting with non-life-threatening injuries and a boy suffered minor injuries. Anyone with information can call Surrey Police on 101, quoting incident reference number P14351146.
