A Pastors Love for the church Part # 18 Expounded This then is the message of Jesus unto us: God is light, and no darkness is in Him at all; and if we say that we have fellowship with Him, and we are walking in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth; but if we walk in the light, we can have fellowship with one another therein (1Jn. 1:5-7). Our fellowship is not just with Jesus, it is also with the Father (verse 3). We have handled that life which was from the beginning, as the manifest life that we can show unto others (verses 1-2). We can show what has been manifested unto us, which we have seen and heard from, so that others might have fellowship with us and with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ (verses 2-3). Whoever is sinning against this needed abiding in Him has not seen Him and cannot know Him (3:6). Unless we are abiding IN Him, we can do nothing for Him (Jn. 15:5). We cannot abide IN Him, unless we have been created IN Him, as those who have been made to sit with Him (Eph. 2:10 and 6). Who leaves the paths of uprightness in order to walk in the ways of darkness (Pr. 2:13)? EVIL men do this (verse 12). This is the condemnation of men loving darkness because they are in the evil deed of hatred against the reproving lights, who have accomplished the truth of coming to the light by the work of God (Jn. 3:19-21). Evil men are proud men, who are without the above answer (Job 35:12). We can only depart from evil in the fear of the Lord (Pr. 16:6). Those who can be in spirit, perfecting holiness are in the fear of God (2Cor. 7:1). Those in the fear of the Lord hate any evil way of pride that is against the knowledge of this spiritual understanding (Pr. 8:13-14; Col. 1:9). This is how to seek God to find Him unto loving Him herein (Pr. 8:17). This instruction is plain to those who understand; and is right to those who can find this knowledge (verse 9). This is the way of understanding (verses 2-1). EVIL men are being deceived, and are deceiving because they have not learned the Holy Scriptures through the profitable doctrine unto being perfect (2Tim. 3:13-17). Note: according to the doctrine of Christ, we are to go on unto perfection (Heb. 6:1). Only those who are in this profitable doctrine unto perfection are living godly in Christ (2Tim. 3:16-17 and 12). Those in this manner of life in this doctrine have the purpose of faith, which is to have the patience to love (verse 10). Those who resist this truth are in nothing but folly (verses 8-9). Those who are laden with lusts cannot come to the knowledge of this truth (verses 6-7). Those who are the lovers of pleasures MORE THAN the lovers of God are into forms (verses 4-5). Forms of the truth are in the law, and are for those who commit idolatry in the sacrilege of dishonoring God (Rom. 2:20 and 22-23). Those who are holding the truth in this ungodliness are not glorifying the God that they say that they know as God: This is the vanity of the foolish (1:18 and 21). Rather in the doctrine of God, which has the teaching of the grace of God, we are to live godly and not in ungodliness, in this present world (Tit. 2:10-12). The sound speech of this doctrine, which has us go on to holiness unto the patience of love, cannot be condemned (verses 8-7 and 3-2). These are the things that we speak of within this sound doctrine (verse 1). Those who profess that they know God, when they are reprobate toward this good work, because they do not believe in it, are an abomination (1:16-15). Those who turn away from the truth of this true witness, which is for the sound faith, should be rebuked (verses 15-13). Those who are evil are full of darkness for light and are of the great darkness of loving another master than God (Mt. 6:23-24). These love this darkness because they are into the evil deed of hating those lights who reprove them; and they are in the evil deed against the work of God, which would have them do the truth of coming to the light (Jn. 3:19-21). Unless we come into His marvelous light (1Pet. 2:9), we cannot serve God and must love another master, which is our own life of eating and drinking, clothing and shelter (Mt. 6:24-25). Christ prayed for those who were going to be given to Him that they all might be one in one another (Jn. 17:9 and 21). This is the glory that God gave to Christ to give to us to be one in one another (verses 22-21). This so that Christ would be in us, so that we could then be made perfect in one in Him being in us (verse 23). Wherein we are where He is so that we could behold His glory (verse 24). If any man teaches otherwise, as one who does not consent to the wholesome words of the doctrine of our Lord Jesus Christ, he is a proud, know nothing (1Tim. 6:3-4). Those who are destitute of this truth are corrupt (verses 4-5). 2 When people wish to respond positively to our presentations of things that they do not believe in, they say that they do not understand. However, understanding comes after faith in the word of God. Faith comes by the word of God (Rom. 10:17). We can pray for their understanding of things spiritual (Col. 1:9). But understanding is of God, who gives it to us by the Son of God (1Jn. 5:20). We believe that God will send Jesus unto those who have faith in the words that we use, so that they too can have understanding. By this faith we mean, that those who receive the words of our testimony, which is of the Bible, can then search the Scriptures and determine what we have said is so (Ac. 17:11). As they do this, God is sending Jesus unto them for understanding. While we cannot give them understanding, God in Christ can, and it is on this point in which we rest prayerfully. All of this attention toward the needs of life is for those of the little faith, which do not have the heavenly Father giving them all things (verses 25-33). Note: the heavenly Father gives all things to those who are seeking to enter into the Kingdom of God, which can be found once it is opened unto us (6:33 and 7:21, 7). The way unto life, which needs to be found has this needed entrance for us to enter into the Kingdom of heaven (7:14-15 and 21). Wasting time thinking about the evil of tomorrow in this world today without seeking the Kingdom of God—in the following righteousness of God, which is by faith—is pointless (6:34-33). Warning: holy understanding cannot be given to dogs (7:6). These evil dogs worship God in the flesh because they are not following after being perfected in spirit in order to have Christ apprehend them herein (Phil. 3:2-3 and 12). Those who are following after the perfection of righteousness by faith are into worshiping God in spirit (verses 12, 9, and 3). Where is your treasure (Mt. 6:21)? We have our treasured light, which is the glory of God in Jesus Christ, in us by the power of God (2Cor. 4:7-6). We have obtained this glory of God in our Lord Jesus Christ (2Thes. 2:14). We have been raised with Christ to be in God in order to have the promised life of Christ because we were seeking after that which is above [the Kingdom of heaven] (Col. 3:1-4). We have been created in Christ by a work of God (Eph. 2:10). We have the spiritual grace in our hearts in all its wisdom for knowledge and understanding (Col. 3:16; 1:9).
