A Peaceful Rally organised by Tangkhul Catholic Council (TCC) in collaboration with All Manipur Catholic Union (AMCU); All Manipur Christian Organisation (AMCO); All Manipur Tribal Christians Forum, etc was held to protest against the eviction of 5 Catholic families of Leingangching village near Litan Ukhrul District. The said 5 families were evicted/chased from the village in the year 2009 as they embraced the Catholic faith. The rally participants tried to drop the evicted members back to their home but as the situation was not favourable the rally ended peacefully. As for the next approach, the organisers tends to resort it legally. Please do pray for the evicted members and for peaceful coexistence of different religions. Source: Manipur Catholic online page
