A Personal and Firm Analysis of the Situation Feting PDP: President Jonathan must not be crucified on the wrangling in the PDP and our national polity. WHY DO I SAY THIS? You remember I was always blasting and harping sharply on the Presidency in the near past. But what happened at the National Youth Council Elective Congress, where I was directly involved proves a point that the problem with President Jonathan is not himself but from those he employed. This became clearer to me when President Jonathan openly condemned all that transpired at Makurdi Congress where his then Minister for Youth Development, Inuwa Abdulkadir Esq., illegally foisted a group led by Yakubu Shendam on the NYCN AS ELECTED Leaders. Our protest in Abuja was treated fairly. When the SSS told us something will be done, we expressed doubts, thinking they will do a ‘Presidential bidding’. But just 90days after the Makurdi Scam, as Nigerian Youths gathered on Minna, Niger State for a proper Elective Congress, where their authentic President, Abdullahi Abdulmajeed was elected, President Jonathan queried “why these large number of my youths in Minna for another election? What happened in Makurdi? Minister for Youths, tell me something...? You are hereby sacked for not leading my children well”. I therefore call on Nigerians and lovers of true democracy like President Jonathan to give all the needed support for the newly sworn-in National President of the National Youth Council, Abdullahi Abdulmajeed, who has sworn to restore the lost pride of the Nigerian Youth.
