A Point To Ponder: I have learned the following things and want to share them. If you are willing to vote for a Congressman who is not voting constitutionally and are upset when people point out the unconstitutionality of his votes this is what you are saying, whether you realize it or not... 1. You know your congressman is not a true Constitutionalist and would choose someone else if given the opportunity. 2. It doesnt really matter who is in office as long hes better than the other guy and you dont have to babysit too much. 3. Trying to make a mediocre Congressman into a truly Constitutional one is forbidden because correction=attack. 4. We dont have to care about Liberty or preserving the Constitution as long as there isnt too much damage done and we dont have to spend too much time and effort trying to get our candidates to do right. 5. We dont even notice the destruction, tyranny, and servitude that is right in front of our faces so we dont really have any complaints. Confirming what I have been thinking is true all along. Your congressmans voting is not the problem. Congress is not the problem. The federal government is not the problem. WE are the problem. Lazy, appathetical, submissive, content in our obedience. We are not a reflection of our government. Our government is a reflection of the people. If we are truly sick to death of an unconstitutional government, we must stop being an unconstitutional people. I fear that may take too much time, effort, and resolve. We are too in love with politics and politicians to share that love with Liberty and our children. Thomas Paine would call us Wicked selfish parents more concerned about our own peace and comfort. As for me, I stand with Paine and say, If there be trouble let it be in my day, so my child may have peace.
