A Political activist without moral principles There are those - TopicsExpress

A Political activist without moral principles There are those people who due to their political inclination and interest do not think positive and even if they do they keep it to themselves. What they mostly speak is negative but indirectly trying to pollute like minds to think as if it is positive. At the moment they feel satisfied that they are speaking truth, the world sees them as shallow minded because it is not. This is just by the way. The airlift of Borno and Yobe States Pilgrims to the Holy land for Umrah was banned by Federal Government just last three weeks ago. Over 4000 pilgrims from these states passed through the dangerous Maiduguri-Damaturu-Potiskum Road to Kano for their subsequent airlift to Makka. It is indeed very pathetic. If care is not taken, more than 6000 Pilgrims from these states may travel through the same route to perform Hajj in the next 40 days or so. May God change the situation for better. Now the crux of the matter. About 84 students of Borno State origin currently studying in the various campuses of the Nigerian law School across the country had visited the Borno State Governor just last week to demand for their bursary and laptops as the usual. The Governor was unaware of the situation and after being briefed by them, he immediately summoned and directed the Executive Secretary of the Borno State Scholarship Board to prepare their Memo. He asked the students to return during the Sallah break to collect both. Now the Political activist feel that why should the 84 students come back from School through the dangerous Damaturu Road to receive their entitlements? My answer to him is let him ask those who have experience over the years about deduction of certain percentage in the name of union fee, supply of inferior quality of laptops and under in supply of the same in some instances are the reasons behind hand to hand collection on during the Sallah Break. But my questions to him are: 1. Why did he not speak when more than 4000 pilgrims travelled through same dangerous Maiduguri-Damaturu Road to Kano? 2. Why is he not worried that the same over 4000 pilgrims will follow the same route while returning home from Umrah? 3. Why is he not worried that more 6000 pilgrims will travel through the same route while going on Hajj? 4. Why is he insisting that the staffs of the Scholarship Board should follow the same route to pay the students in their various campuses knowing fully well that they are also human? Only people like him feel that the lives of the 84 students are more sacred than that of thousands others who shuttle the route everyday. They feel righteousness belongs to them alone when we know they are not. They are good in showcasing phantom sympathy to create political disharmony. At your age, what I expected from you is that by now you know that nobody can live beyond or less than than his or her appointed time. You need both religious and moral reorientation. The political gospel you are singing is very local, too old and very unfit for a little civilized society like ours. May Allah make our States peaceful for us live in and our Roads safe for us to follow.
