A Prayer For Help And Protection In my friend’s distress we call to You Lord; we call out to our God. From Your temple hear our voices; let our cries come to Your ears. My friend needs Your help, O God. You are our Rock, our fortress and our deliverer. Our God is our Rock in whom we take refuge; our shield and horn of our salvation, our stronghold. Let my friend take refuge in You and be glad. Let them ever sing for joy. Spread Your protection over them, that my friend may rejoice in You! For Your Name sake, preserve them. In Your righteousness, bring them out of trouble. In the day of my friend’s trouble, keep them safe in Your dwelling place. Hide them in the shelter of Your sacred tent and set them high upon a rock. Rescue them from every evil attack and bring them safely out of distress. Do not withhold Your mercy from them Lord. May Your love and faithfulness always protect them. Keep them safe, my God, for in You we take refuge. Lord, You alone are our portion and our cup; please make my friend’s lot secure. Bring health and healing to them and let them enjoy abundant peace and security. In God we praise! In God we have trusted and are not afraid! What can mere mortals do to us?! It is You God, who arms us with strength and keeps our ways secure. Your anger last only a moment, but Your favor last a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning! When we are secure, we say, “I WILL …‘NEVER!’… BE SHAKEN!” Lord, when You favor us, You make our royal mountain stand firm; but when You hide Your face …….we……we are dismayed. Your glory is a shelter and a shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge and a hiding place from the storm and the rain. You are our hiding place; protect my friend from trouble and surround them with songs of deliverance! Your righteousness is like the highest mountains; Your justice like the great deep. You Lord, preserve both people and animals. Protect and preserve my friend. Let them be counted among the blessed in the land. Do not give them over to the desire of their foes. We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; for Jesus, who was born of God keeps them safe, and evil cannot harm them. In peace they will lie down, for You alone will make them dwell in safety. The Name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. Save them from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. Cover them with Your feathers. Let Your faithfulness be their shield and rampart. Let no disaster come near their tent. Command Your angels concerning them in all their ways; let them be lifted up in their hands so that their foot will not strike against a stone. Let them tread on the lion and great serpent. Preserve them, according to Your word. Your words have supported those who have stumbled; You strengthen faltering knees. You are our shield, our very great reward. Give my friend peace and security and let nothing make them afraid. Hide them from all human intrigues and keep their feet from slipping. Let their house be safe and free from fear. Love the Lord, all His faithful people! The Lord preserves those who are true to Him, but the proud, He pays back in full. The lowly He sets on high; and those who mourn are lifted to safety. They will be secure, because there is hope. They will look about themselves and take their rest in safety. Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe. Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Lord, I and my friend humble ourselves before You. Terror overwhelms them; their dignity is driven away as by the wind, their safety vanishes like a cloud. Trouble and distress have come upon them, but Your commands give them delight. Answer us when we call to You, our righteous God. Give my friend relief from their distress. Have mercy on them and hear our prayer. Who is like my friend; saved by their God? You are their shield and helper and their glorious sword. Their enemies will cower before them and they will tread on the heights. Shield them and care for them. Guard them as the apple of Your eye. Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High ‘WILL!’ rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We long to dwell in Your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Help my friend be strong and courageous; for You are with them; Your glory will be their rear guard. In Jesus Name, we pray and agree, Amen
