A Prayer for Bangladesh 12 January 2015 God of all creation, we pray for the four million Muslims who this week are attending the annual Biswa Ijtema, or “World Gathering,” on the banks of the Turag River just north of Dhaka, Bangladesh. One of the largest annual gatherings of Muslims from around the world, the event is non-political and promotes peace. Almighty God, as the world witnesses horrific violence, often carried out in the name of religion, speak to all your words of reconciliation and peace.
