A Prayer for a loved one claiming to be a Christian Father - TopicsExpress

A Prayer for a loved one claiming to be a Christian Father God I come before you on behalf of those who have a husband, wife, friend, or a loved one claiming to be a Christian but in their spirit they sense something is amiss. Scattered around the world there are many who claim to be Christians, being a Baptist, a Presbyterian, or a Catholic or construing other denominations. When they are asked “why is it you think you are a Christian?, their confession is not that answer that a loved one desires to hear being a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. Many of these loved ones attend Church; sometimes this attendance has been going on for years. But, when the name of Jesus Christ is mentioned they appear to be uncomfortable and uneasy. It is difficult for them during a Thanksgiving or Christmas Dinner to mention the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in a prayer. Why would a professed Christian be unable to freely communicate with a Christian spouse, family member, or a friend who is a follower of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Does this loved one only know Jesus Christ as being a friend of a friend? Will they be lukewarm and be spit out, as our God may not know them. Revelation 3: 15-16 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. May the Holy Spirit open each heart of these loved ones, revealing Jesus Christ as being Lord and Savior, accepting Him as King of Kings and the savior of their souls. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen Marvin R. McKim
