A Prayer for a release from the Bondage of Possessions or Debt Father God I come on behalf of those whose lives are fond of worldly positions or possessions as they have become slaves to a life style with a yearning exceeding their income. They have mortgaged future earnings and future dreams. They have become slaves with an unquenchable thirst desiring more; blinded to a truth that there will never be enough. They have placed their lives in bondage to an employer, a bank, a government, or another unknown entity. Romans 6: 16 Do you know that “to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? 2 Corinthians 4: 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. Father God I ask for your mercy and guidance for a Christian brother or a sister caught in a trap of bondage to the world. I pray for the Holy Spirit to provide them with wisdom and self-discipline of consciousness. May they seek a life style of righteousness to do the will of our Heavenly Father. I pray that their slavery to the world be cast aside; and they become slaves only to our Heavenly Fathers ways and His righteousness. In Jesus precious name I pray. Amen Marvin R. McKim
