A Press Statement on the 35th Anniversary of the Peoples Grenada Revolution Caribbean Movement for Peace and Integration 35th Anniversary of the 13th March 1979 Grenada Revolution 13th March 2014 News Editor Press Statement The Caribbean Movement for Peace and Integration remember and recognize the revolutionary people of Granada who lead the fist positive people’s revolution in the English Speaking Caribbean. This revolution brought dignity and respect to our Caribbean region and created the conditions for empowering of the power and powerless people of Grenada. Our Movement calls on the University of the West Indies, Caribbean political parties, trade unions and social activist to exam the 1979 Grenada Revolution to see how we can empower Caribbean People and work on a political alternative for the empowerment of the poor and powerless people in our region. On this day the 35th Anniversary of the People’s Grenada Revolution we need to also exam the Bolivarian Revolution in Latin America of the 21st century and that was built on the people’s ideas of the Americas. The Caribbean Movement for Peace and Integration will also use this opportunity to join with progressive forces in Barbados on the 15th March 2014 to exam 13th March 1979 Grenada People’s Revolution.
