A Psalm for Today: Psalm 87: 5 And of Zion it will be said, This one and that one were born in her; and the Most High Himself shall establish her. In Psalms 48, it calls Mount Zion the city of the great king. It was the site of Davids Tabernacle which was a New Testament prototype because there was no veil. In Moses tabernacle there was a veil and only the high priest could enter the Holy of Holies once a year to sprinkle blood on the mercy seat for the sins of the people. Anyone could enter before the ark in Davids Tabernacle representing the presence of God. (See Psalms 91) We can come boldly before His throne because of the shed blood of Jesus. Mountains represent government and Mt.Zion represents the kingdom of God. What does it mean to have been born in Zion? It means that you are a subject of the great King, but greater than this, it means that You are a child of the great King, the King of kings and Lord of Lords.
