A QUESTION. FOR ALL, BUT SPECIALLY FOR THOSE THAT USE THE COOKING STEAMING POT . I have steamed my silks, with a size little less that one square meter, using Husna Rafaths technique, with the difference that i roll my silk on a piece of thin cotton, tie it and wrap it with aluminum foil, twice ( she has a video on You Tube) so, my question here.is .. Has anybody use the OVEN BAGS , to prevent the moisture to get into the silk while steming ? ..these bags can stand up to 350 F or 177 Celsius ( Reynolds brand) .that is, above the standard water boiling point. ( 211.9 F or 99.97 C.) . I was going to use them today, but i decided to go safe. Husnas technique for steaming in a cooking pot has worked for me, except that i dont pile up my silks, I wrap mine in a doble piece of thin cotton and only one silk at the t ime. However, .. i am always worried that water vapor could wet my silk durnig the process, like it happened once ,. just wondering before i do the experiment .
