A RARE EXCEPTION Some condemned Christians were taken to the execution ground. But each of them still had a chance to escape if only they would deny Christ. As the condemned refused to denounce Christ as Saviour, the executioners soon began their work. One after the other, their heads were cut off. Eventually, all were killed except one. Having watched the death of all his colleagues without any divine intervention, this last Christian decided to change his conviction, and so he denied Christ. Among the executioners was a soldier whose eye s have been opened to see the lot of those who endured to the end. He had noticed that each beheaded person had an angel in attendance to put a crown of glory on their head and then took them to heaven. As soon as the last condemned man denied Christ, this soldier stepped forward to accept Christ in his place. He was summarily condemned and executed, but he was crowned by the angel and transported to heaven. Thought for the Day : It is wise to refuse to deny Christ under any circumstance.
