A RECIPE FOR DISASTER It’s unfathomable and overtly illogical - TopicsExpress

A RECIPE FOR DISASTER It’s unfathomable and overtly illogical to science and reasoning for CSE, a renowned construction company in Sierra Leone to be pushing dirty and rocks into a natural river and separating it from the ocean in the name of making a short cut road that will lead to TOKEH VILLAGE. This is absolutely unacceptable in modern day road construction operations! Apart from endangering the lives of water bodies, marine resources and the natural beauty of the river flow, that kind of road construction work will surely be susceptible to erosion (washing away) due to its weak concrete foundations. That besides, there is also an immense value for the beauty of the country and for tourism in not tampering with the natural flow of the river itself. I don’t really understand why CSE is refusing the option of passing a constructed road bridge instead so that there could still be a natural flow of the river. Please….. Will Sierra Leone’s Road Authority Management ensure to be monitoring this Road Construction Companies so that they carry their work in an efficient way and not destroy with impunity our natural rivers and beautiful landscape. YES, I know we need roads in Sierra Leone but not any kind of roads certainly. We want good roads that will be sustainable and not become a recipe for disaster in the future. Please rethink and do the right thing if this is true!
