A Rant of Sorts: Hey folks loving the new tracks being submitted and meeting new people but do us a big favor, take time to at least get to know us via our site iaamradio.podbean/ If you are submitted tracks in the blind you are not doing yourself or the bands you represent a good service. If you are promoter or band take a good lesson from ION Indie Magazine , a super article there far as dos and donts when submitting material to others. Im finding out as of late, several bands have not even visited our site yet alone their promotion team and that makes us think they really dont give a damn. Its like they want someone else to do all the leg work. The excuse, no time, is bull pucky because it only takes 5 to 10 min max (on our site) and no one is saying you have to tune in after that, but at least you know who and what you are submitting to. We are a hobby station we love to meet and share with others that love music. We introduce bands, promoters, stations, podcasts and webzines to one another as they have for us and we love it! We are not in competition with anyone. Again, its a hobby and not my real job. For being so small we have a good size listener base and a good reach on our social feeds. What we do for Indie in most cases is more than some of the bigger sites out there and they charge where we dont. Lastly, dont like a social page unless you really like it. Just because you dont see your band everyday on anothers page is no reason to pop and drop or you dont like one post out of 1000s. Our page is open, you can share anytime. If you are a page and liked us, let us know with a post so we can like you back given FB does not tell a page when another page likes it, FB only shows people that like a page. Not talking about liking a post, that is different. Also, posting alone on your page, not! You have to go and share on other pages to get the word out, then those pages will push your shares as well. Tag and share others posts on your page too, that is a large reach booster. You may find you will get new likes/fans that way. Another big take away is not everyone will like what we do, how we do it or what we share. We get it and are not offended. Im open to suggestions and we may or may not choose to implement them but we do listen and appreciate feedback. Ahhhhh rant complete.
