A SIT AND STAY AWHILE BUSINESS I loved working on Sunday. Yesterday was a blessed day by the abundance of joy I found in each hour. Im not taking days off by schedule anymore. Why should I? Im happiest doing what I love. I love the business that I created and its better than ever before. Its personal. Everyone I love is there. Everyone.. I have no family to come home to and no romance to get swept off with. What about Sapphire? My daughter has the blessing of a mother who does right by her and she does not cling to me. She is twelve, the independent of older, and she doesnt really like me. Those were her words yesterday to explain our relationship. I had tried to run my fingers through her hair and she pulled away. My feelings were hurt. You were my baby Sapphire. I held you. I snuggled you... I dont like to be touched by anyone. Dont take it personally. I love you very much. When I was little I liked you but now I just love you. Id prefer to do my own thing. Im reading... Dismissed. Well.. Ok then. I have a business that includes her and she is my purpose by example and of course I feel guilt wondering if I spend enough time, quality time. I do know that most of my scheduled efforts are rejected and her preferences on how she would agree to spend time with me all come with a price tag which.. Brings me back to business. Yesterday I spent half the day with Sarah Crea, a friend and a client for years. Five kids at the studio eating pizza and playing on bosu balls because studio 200 is also a personal training space. We took pictures and we played. Amber! We love coming to your studio. Mom? Do we have to leave?? Four hours later we knew they were tired when they finally wanted to. Home? Can we go home now? My perfect days are made of this: daughter, business, life. Welcome and please stay awhile.
