A SONNET TO MY BELOVED (7) (Partha Sarathi) A soft silence - TopicsExpress

A SONNET TO MY BELOVED (7) (Partha Sarathi) A soft silence was swung in my hearts den, Where the visible gloom pervades in brisk light, When Thy Lamp tried to ignite divine gain; But did my blindness block Thy aural sight! A mystic motion of air did Thou blow, Piercing autumnal mist to dry morns dew, When Thy Loves celestial stream did flow To break and break me to re-shape anew. His hard hammer hit anvil of my mind, Chaining my minds iron with his loves heat; So that a divine symmetry I find And gain the grandest spiritual feat! How Thy Love tried to illumine my cave, And the way to Thy Abode didst Thou pave!
