A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT THE QUIET STORM ON THE FISHBOWL RADIO - TopicsExpress

A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT THE QUIET STORM ON THE FISHBOWL RADIO NETWORK Dear Friends and Listeners: It is with profound sadness and regret that I inform you that, due to adverse circumstances beyond my control, I am forced to suspend production of the Fishbowl Radio version my Quiet Storm program -- effective immediately -- until further notice. This is a very painful decision for me to make. However, it has been made necessary by a sudden crisis in my household. Those of you who read my show preview on Facebook last Wednesday will recall that I had prefaced it with a request for prayers by both my FBRN colleagues and the listeners of The Quiet Storm for my wife, Ellie, who was hospitalized on Tuesday for treatment of congestive heart failure. What I did not mention was that Ellies health crisis came two days after she was fired from her job. The shock and stress brought on by her termination may very well have been a contributing factor in her subsequent heart problem. Ellie has diabetes, asthma and hypertension, putting her at high risk for a heart attack or stroke. She is now home from the hospital, but as a result of her heart condition, she will be unable to work for the forseeable future -- putting a severe strain on our finances. With my wifes health crisis, combined with the loss of her job (and with it, her health insurance), I have no choice but to discontinue production of The Quiet Storm for FBRN to save money. How long production will remain suspended is entirely dependent on both the physical recovery of my wife and the economic recovery of our household. The past two years on FBRN have been an incredible ride. I continue to cherish my 2012 Sharky Award for Distance Show of the Year. I look forward to the time when The Quiet Storm will return to the FBRN programming schedule. The live local version of The Quiet Storm will, however, continue -- as it has for the past 15 years -- on my flagship station, WGDR-FM in Plainfield, Vermont. The local version of the show is available online through the stations website, wgdr.org every Thursday at 12 noon Eastern/11:00 a.m. Central/ 9:00 a.m. Pacific. Farewell to FBRN for now -- but to quote Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ill be back. Sincerely, Skeeter Sanders
