A SPECIAL WELCOME TO SOME NEW MEMBERS, INCLUDING UTAH ADOPTION ATTORNEY DAVID HARDY. We just recently reached 1,000 members, and our numbers keep growing. As Rob has previously indicated, we hope that those joining are doing so out of meaningful and appropriate interest and desire to learn, contribute, and/or discuss matters pertaining to the rights of biological fathers and adoption related issues. Mr. Hardy has been involved in the Utah adoption arena, and many other states, for that matter, for many years. He is a past President of the Utah Adoption Council, and formerly with the Utah law firm of Kirton & McConkie. He is a Fellow with the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys. Though Mr. Hardy has at times expressed views and opinions contrary to other members of this group, what I have consistently said and reminded all members of, from time to time, applies to Mr. Hardy (i.e. comments by others about him, and comments he may decide to contribute) and all members equally. This must remain an open, tolerant, professional, courteous, and civil forum for all to freely express themselves. Hopefully the end result is better education and understanding, if not at a minimum as much respect as one can muster for the opinions of others or at least their right to have their opinion though you may constructively express your disagreement and why. I speak for myself, and hopefully the vast majority of this group, when I say that we will not tolerate personal attacks, bashing for bashing sake, profanities, or the like. Please, please, please... use good judgment and respect with regard to matters posted and discussed in our forum. Weve had issues in the past with some of the members comments crossing the line of propriety. I do not want to remove anyone from this Group, but I will do so in the future if such lines are crossed again. Typically I will give a warning, and/or ask for an apology, short of exclusion, but please understand that I am taking these guidelines very seriously. In short, be respectfully passionate. (Note: Constraints of time may limit my ability to monitor all posts and comments, especially as we continue to grow, but if I have missed something that concerns you, please PM me and I will use best efforts to try and address those concerns).
