A STORY WORTH READING.....!!! (Posted 4 years ago) 16 years ago, a humble Pakistani, from a middle class family moved to America and called New York his new home. Following footsteps of his honest & hardworking father, he worked real hard to make his way up in the corporate America. With no personal or family connection, he made it to highest level in healthcare industry and became talk of the town....with great accomplishments. He also followed his mothers footsteps to serve the under-privileged and less fortunate people as a volunteer in different capacities and projects. He devotedly worked to make difference in peoples lives, one person at a time. During all this time, he received several Proclamations, Citations & Awards from NGOs and all level of Government including NYC, NYS, NJS, County, US Congress etc. This Monday 5/14/2012, he was invited by Senator Kevin Parker to Albany to be honored on the New York State Senates floor. On behalf of NYS Senate, he was presented a Resolution acknowledging his devoted & dedicated services to people of New York. This humble individual was Ambassador-Malik N. Abid. I am grateful to blessings of Allah, education and mentoring of my late beloved parents, my family (specially my wife who sacrificed her own personal time & allowed me to serve other) and my all my friends. I am so grateful to my friend Senator Kevin Parker to introduce this Resolution and also thankful to all the honorable members of Senate to vote for it. Only 16 years in USA and I could never imagine all the honor and recognition I have received.....only in America. God bless America.
