A School Mum has asked: I have just had a ph call from my sons school asking me why I havent paid the voluntary $100 resource scheme fee. I am a single parent of 2 (9 & 11) on a carer pension. When I explained I cant really afford it her reply to me was well he just wont be able to use the resources. When I asked what the resources were all I got was mathletics (which I payed for already in the book fees) and some paper, glue etc (again which I payed for in book fees). She then went on to tell me if I didnt pay he would be excluded from some activities. Are they allowed to do this? [Son goes to a public state school]. Thoughts on this please? Thanks
