A Simple cure for Global Warming I recently had a brief exchange with two young men on Face Book about global warming. Since I really like these Guys and agree with Mark Twain when he said “it is easier to fool someone than to convince them that they have been fooled” I have decided to relieve their fears with a simple solution. ---- I have decided to ignore the fact that a consensus of these people have been wrong on everything from bloodletting, flat earth, Saccharin, saturated fats, how much cholesterol there is in an egg, a new ice age and on and on. We will also out of courtesy ignore the tricky little fact that these studies are mostly based on computer models that can’t accurately predict the weather a week out but claim to be able to predict it out one hundred years and more. We will be relieved as they are that these conclusions have not been reached by some evil profit driven corporation and ignore the fact that they were conducted by huge corporations controlling hundreds of millions of dollars without the constraints of the free market. Corporations that without a crises would lose millions upon millions of grant dollars. We will set aside the fact that this is a perfect opportunity for the left to snatch the power driven by the rights marriage to big oil from them and tuck billions and billions of energy dollars in their own pockets. ----Since I have decided to go along to get along as a consensus of sheeple would have me do I am going to say that these people are right and also that government solutions are the answer. Based on the reasoning that these people know what they are doing we must then assume that they were right in the sixties when they told us we were in grave danger from a fast approaching man made ice age. We must conclude that the hundreds of bills passed, agencies formed and billions of dollars spent to prevent this horrible tragedy worked. Not only did they work but we went a little over board and tipped the scale towards global warming. All that being the case the solution is simple. Scale back a little on what we are doing. Cut about half of the government agencies and roll back about half of the legislation. Based on our audacity to believe we impact global weather as much as we do we should know in a couple of days if this works or not; a week at the most. ---- Now for those of you that think satire is a new solar driven car I would like to get serious for a minute and explain why all this matters. I will give just one example but it is an important one because millions of people are dying as we speak because of it. Of course these are mostly dark skinned people and if you’re a liberal you think of them as slightly inferior; less evolved as it were so their deaths are less important. We bible beaters on the other hand believe as the bible says all people are of one blood and we are to love them as ourselves. But back to the example. As a young man in high school Rachel Carson’s book Silent Springs was assigned reading. I had already read it and believed her. Ten years later or so we found out from her own admission that most of what she stated as fact she made up. Can you imagine that a person not a profit making corporation made stuff up to fit their agenda? Now why is this important? Because right away we enacted legislation worldwide that has led to disease and the death of millions of people. This terrible terrible situation is ongoing but we ignore it as we do the consequences of most emotion driven legislation because it made us feel good to pass it and it would make us feel bad if we found out we were wrong. Now I am sure many of you will want to respond to this and I hope you do except for you people that voted for Obama for a second term. If you did you fit into one of three categories. You are a racist and voted for him simply because he is ½ black. You are dead and voted in a democratically controlled district were as many as one hundred and fifteen percent of registered voters voted for him. (A hard achievement even with this new math) Or you’re one of those people Mr. Twain was talking about.
