A Story Of Life Changes For many years, Debbie had to do without. Her idea of adornment was an old hemp rope friendship bracelet that a friend had woven years ago. Eventually, it fell off and she had nothing. That was okay. She was just starting out in life and carefully guarded her finances to make ends meet. When she found Liam and fell in love, she was delighted to discover he was thrifty and hesitant about using credit to artificially prop up their standard of living. They were married in a small ceremony, and though their rings were very small and very inexpensive, she was content that their finances were in order and they could start their lives together on solid economic footing. They both worked, and they both worked hard. They saved and enjoyed romantic evenings at home a lot more often that at restaurants. Two children came, and they reorganized their lives to ensure the kids were stable as well. A decade passed, and Debbie and Liam were happy. Some of their friends were struggling, in fact most of them were. She bit her tongue and refused to point out that she and her husband had chosen discipline rather than extravagance and that was why the stresses impacting their friends weren’t impacting her. Both of her children were in private school, and they’d aggressively worked on their mortgage so they anticipated having it paid off in about five more years. In all, life was good. In fact, life was very good. She looked at her engagement ring and her wedding band and remembered with a smile how they’d jumped through every economic hoop they could to buy them, how they’d been sensible and fought against the impulse to go into debt. She could buy ten of the rings now without having to worry at all. She decided it was time to bring them to a jeweler and to upgrade them. Now that they could afford it, it made sense to wear a ring that really reflected her love for her husband. *** At Levi Family Jewelers, we believe everybody should be able to afford an elegant and beautiful engagement ring and that every wedding band should show the beauty of the love involved. However, we want couples to start their marriages on good economic footing. That’s why we always remind couples that it’s usually wise to buy a smaller ring when they’re early in their careers and then upgrade to a nicer design or a larger diamond later. We’ve helped countless couples through the process, and we love when their improved economic status allows for it. If you need an engagement ring, you can be sure you won’t be pressured to buy something you can’t afford when you come see us. If you’d like to do something really dazzling, now that you can afford it, don’t hesitate to drop by. We’re conveniently located in downtown San Diego, and as a third generation jeweler, we can do a job you won’t believe! G-d Bless Our Store
