A Sturt traffic patrol detected two motorcyclists allegedly street racing on Anzac Highway on Sunday afternoon. The two motorbikes were spotted travelling at speed on Anzac Highway at Glenelg East just before 5pm, with one motorcycle detected at 111km/h in a 60km/h zone. Officers will allege the second bike was travelling slightly faster. Both riders were subsequently stopped and reported for street racing and speed dangerous and had their motorcycles impounded for 28 days. The two men, aged 22 and 24, both from Athelstone, and both known to each other, will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
