A Sunday morning habit Psalm Sunday 01/26/2014 Waking to snow a beautiful sight I hear a groan an Oh NO more snow coming from within think of the girls at work who are so tired of the job to push the white stuff off their drive, the walk and laugh to myself with a shake of the head a check out the door to see how deep will a shovel do or a blower need to run where do I find the time before church And so it is with some of our favorite things at a misplaced time The beauty of the fresh layer on a Saturday is more desired than on a Sunday morning for a person who dislikes the snow to be driven on before attended to ~ For one who tries to get out and glide across the stuff when the temp is above 5 and the wind doesnt blow you away What a year! A summer so hot your flowers bloomed and died early a winter so cold your furnace runs and runs and runs at times the wind so wicked kids stay indoors Ah, the adventure of living in the north in the hinterland of winter filled with absolute beauty icy displays salt covered cars and fender benders And yet..... and yet Your joy is within no matter the challenge Your strength is sufficient Your love surrounds and covers washing over, around and in as 10,000 reasons plays in the background yes 10,000 reasons and more to praise Your Holy Name Thank You Lord that You are with me through it all, in it all giving grace for it is sufficient You said Your sufficiency in grace gives me choices and I choose life to glory in the wonder of the beauty rather than gloom in despair of the added work The workout is good for me and I can still do it wait and go to 2nd service give them time to plow the roads Your goodness surrounds as my eye turns to You praise fills my being and flows from my lips bless the Lord oh my soul... worship His Holy Name go in His grace sharing His love with those in your world enjoying the beauty of the day
