The grand arched entrance leads you into a sitting area with prim, elaborate garden furniture that will transport you to an Elizabethan era of doilies, niceties and gentlemen with ruffled collars. The trademark hand drawn walls bring to life the house of the tea merchant and narrate the lesser-known tea stories of the world. Walk about, and you’ll find the merchants very own collection of eccentricities, which naturally have everything to do with tea! Feast your eyes on a collection of antiquated tea cups and kettles collected from all corners of the tea-sipping world, a harvest calendar, ancient tea clipper and quirky little tea-timers. And if you ever read Georgette Heyer, do look out for charming vintage hat boxes. While the décor may be a worshipful ode to everything tea the menu is an exercise in variety. And that sentence only rhymed because the menu reads like poetry to the ears of food lovers.
