A TEAM of talent spotters from Specsavers Irvine will be on the lookout for potential models on Saturday, June 15. The scouts from the opticians will be setting up camp in the foyer of the Rivergate Shopping Centre, encouraging locals to enter the Spectacle Wearer of the Year awards. As well as promoting the competition, staff will be handing out goody bags and between 12pm and 4pm. The event is in aid of national anti-bullying charity Kidscape which Specsavers will donate £1 to for every entry to the competition. Scottish finalists will attend the glamorous awards ceremony in central London in September where the overall Spectacle Wearer of the Year 2013 will be crowned. The competition is open to men and women over the age of 16.
