A TRULY SHOCKING STATEMENT BY TRIBE CEO, PAUL DOLAN I really think we can be in the playoff hunt again. Paul Dolan, Cleveland Indians CEO, in an interview with Terry Pluto of The Plain Dealer. The club won 92 games last year and made the playoffs. They have Terry Francona in charge and the town is buzzing about the upcoming season. And Dolans expectations are that the Indians will be in the playoff hunt again? Thats it? Somebody better remind Paul that last year, with a month to go in the season, 9 of the 15 AL teams were in the playoff hunt. Thats 60%. That shouldnt be the goal or outspoken hopes of a club that won 92 games and got into the postseason. Sounds like Dolan is just afraid to say: We turned it around last year. Got 92 wins and made the playoffs. Now we want to take the next step and go deeper into the postseason. And I truly believe this club can win it all with the talent and manager we have. Thats what a confident CEO says. To think the Indians will be in the playoff hunt again is a statement which isnt something the fans want to hear.
