A Texas High School student got to use the classic my dog ate my homework excuse... and actually mean it. She made a miniature model of a farm for class, and it ended up in the stomach of her hungry pit bull, Roscoe. He was rushed to the vet, who had to use a scope to pull the pieces out. Luckily everything worked out - the student was allowed to make a second version of the model after her teacher saw the x-rays and Roscoe has made a full recovery.
