A Thesis on the reality of Time, as opposed to an Illusion of Time. Colin Bennett I often thought that time was only relevant within a conscious mind, you had to be awake to realize its presence, but time as we know is intangible,we as humans have put a mathamatical construct on time as we know it. But time can, and does exsist outside of a conscious mind. Even in the cold dank ether of space time has its origins. Time has value, it is the series of events that mark the reality of time. It is like saying that a circle has no beginning or end, yet the beginning are one of the same. As soon as you draw a circle you are creating the end, so time therefore is a period between that beginning, and ending, the event of construct is where time starts, and the valuation of events we mark as time. To some Scientists time is an illusion, this is understandable as our human minds try to understand this great conundrum, because we cannot see, or touch time we treat it as some mirage, but it has always been there, it is Man that has reasoned by calculation, by speed, and distance that we all today have a coherent scale of life.No event, no time, there are always events, however small to define the whole Universe as we understand it.
