A Thought for the Day A favorite claim by welfarists is that abolitionists just shout at people and tell them to go vegan! That is a wholly dishonest description of the abolitionist position--at least as it is and has been presented here. We should never shout at anyone about anything that concerns morality. Creative, nonviolent education is what is key and what--and only what--is advocated here. Abolitionists need to educate themselves and then educate others in a constrictive manner. That involves providing reasoned arguments for why the only rational response to recognizing that animals have moral value is to stop eating, wearing, or using them. So the next time you hear a welfarist describe abolition in this way, you know youre hearing nonsense.
