A Thought to Ponder... Instead of being focused on getting your blessing try praying the FATHER make you a blessing. In Genesis 12 we see the FATHER commands Abram (Abraham) to get out from his kindred a command that came with a prophetic promise starting in verse 2 if he obeyed the command to go. The FATHER says I will make thee a great nation, I will bless thee, make thy name great and thou shalt be a blessing. All of that is beautiful but nothing is more beautiful than the last part of that thou shalt be a blessing. Blessing as translated from this text is the word Berakah meaning source of blessing, praise of GOD, treaty of peace, a gift or a present. So many have been conditioned and trained to focus on themselves, my blessing, my miracle, my this or my that, but the WORD is clear in Philippians 2:4 - Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. As servants of GOD and KINGDOM citizens we should have a hunger and thirst to be a blessing: a blessing to our communities, a blessing to those we encounter daily and a blessing just in general. Wouldnt be awesome that instead of ministries breaking their neck to raise $50,000 or more honorariums to bring in certain preachers, that those same preacher theyre trying to get to come would say look I have enough and instead of giving me that money, lets get some food bags together and go out into the community, lets establish programs or lets go buy materials to build the homes up in this community. Wouldnt that be awesome? When your vision expands it moves beyond self. Whenever people hear write the vision their minds are automatically trained to think of things that are going to benefit them only but the mind of the believer must be retrained to understand that VISION - KINGDOM VISION always encompasses a bigger plan. Kingdom Vision says there are 50,000 people in this city, our ministry cant hold them all lets come together and seek GOD for strategies to fill the chosen ministries in the area. Kingdom Vision says when I come out youre coming out. Kingdom Vision says GOD dont just bless me here and there make me a blessing: make me a blessing to my loved ones, my community, my co-workers - cause me to be a gift instead of looking for gifts to be given to me. I challenge you on to change your prayer language by daring to say unto the FATHER Make me a blessing, instead of saying FATHER bless me, because truth be told you will receive your blessing in the midst of GOD making you a blessing to HIS people and for HIS KINGDOM... I challenge you to shift you position so you can see beyond what GOD has promised to give you and look deeper into the blessing HES shaping you into... #Selah
