A Training of Trainers workshop focused on queen conch or lambi underwater visual census techniques was concluded yesterday. The workshop saw a group of thirteen resource managers and fishers participating. The project was made possible with the support of the European Development Fund on behalf of ACP (African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of states) countries that created the ACP Fish II programme which is aimed to improve sustainable fisheries management under their jurisdiction. A press briefing will be held today to disclose the preliminary findings of the recently concluded queen conch underwater survey at the conference room of the fisheries division at 2pm.
