A Transparent Moment Today marks 12 years of an era and chapter that is now closed. To date, it was one of the hardest decisions Ive ever had to make. Even now, tears fill my eyes. I struggled with the thought of being a failure. I even struggled ending life as I knew it. I just couldnt decide from either the Dames Point or Matthews bridge to jump off of. However, Im still here and Im assured my work isnt complete. I could go thru a long drawn out spill, but I wont. Im so thankful for my dad, Supt. Anthony W Gilyard for unfailing love, leadership and guidance. I can never repay you. To Overseer Burdette Williams for being with me since day one fighting for me. Jared Williams and Marquita Green-Williams thank you for fighting with me and never leaving me by myself. To Bishop E. Patrick Williams who always told me the vision is always with me and goes with me. To Bryant D Greer, Paul Jackson, Phillip L McPheeterswho always spoke life and constantly was there with me. Dwayne L. Brown, I cant even form the words for you. My momma, Diane Johnson, youre irreplaceable. To my pastor, Bishop Edward Robinson and 1st Lady Cynthia Robinson who has embraced me with love. I love them! Special thanks to Lanita Prayingforyou Gadson Renee Jackson Stewart, Deonde Jackson, Kellee Specialk Glover, OJaye R. Williams, Meachum Lamar Clarke, Joseph Mims, William Lee, Aquarius Gordon Skipper, Tisa Dennard, Chris Stafford, La Tasha Haggerty, Todd O. Goodman, Tanika Michelle Harris, Tina Austin for being friends and a great support system to me. I love yall! I am confident in this one thing that He who began a good work in me will complete it.
