A Tribute To Actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar. Actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar, who was being treated for lung infection at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital (KDAH), passed away at 2 a.m. on 3rd November 2014. The 64-year-old actor was hospitalised about two weeks ago for lung infection and was in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Sadashiv Amarapurkar (Born as Ganesh Kumar Narwode) (11 May 1950 - 03 November 2014) was an Indian actor who is well known for his performances in Marathi and Hindi films in the 1980s and 90s. He received the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role in 1991 for Sadak — the first time the award was instituted. In addition to negative roles, he has done supporting roles and, more recently, comic roles.
