A Tribute to Hammer Films....!!! A couple of weeks ago we had a tribute to the Universal horror films and now in keeping with our month long tribute to Gothic Horror we salute the gothic horror films of Hammer Films. Sure many know Hammer Films here. A British film company that began in the 1930s it did not start producing horror till the late 1950s then after the success of Curse of Frankenstein their horror boom took off. It lasted into the early 70s and in those years between the company produced a slew of horror films, mainly period films based on gothic traditions. Their films made stars of Peter Cushing & Christopher Lee. So any thoughts? Favorites? Fans? Haters?
