“A Tribute to NC Jazz Legends” The Friends of the NCCU James E. Shepard Memorial Library will sponsor a jazz concert featuring the NCCU Vocal Jazz Ensemble entitled “A Tribute to NC Jazz Legends” at 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Hayti Heritage Center, 804 Old Fayetteville Street, Durham NC. The concert will highlight the works of North Carolina based jazz musicians Nina Simone, John Coltrane, Max Roach, Jimmy Heath and Thelonious Monk. The winner of the NCCU Student Composition Competition will also be announced. Tickets are $30.00 for general admission and $15.00 for students.
