A True Story Many years ago a young man in the Church took a job to support his Family in the rail yards of the mid west. He was a return missionary and was now sealed with his wife in the Salt Lake Temple. The job was taxing to his spirit but he was honest in his dealings and worked a fair day to the best of his ability. Due to his dedication and honest ways his employer moved him to positions that supervised more. All this time he heard the foulest language known to man. He and His wife were faithful in the gospel and pushed forward their life. At the end of his time, the Rail yard gave him an offer at the same time he received one from a friend back home in Salt Lake. The offer was very lob sided. The rail yard was giving Him him an income offer of what was equivalent to $500,000 per year to run the entire mid and west coast rail lines. This was a dream come true for his Family. He felt blessed but the offer from his former employer in Utah meant being close to Family and being able to associate with some wonderful men and women from their past. Like any matter they prayed and fasted about what they should do. They wanted a Family and wanted to give themselves the best opportunity. Their want was a fulfilling life. He chose the job in Salt Lake with friends from his past. It was not an easy choice but as a couple they felt it was the best one for them. The job he accepted was a grammar secretary. He and his wife raised several children, they never regretted their choice, they were together in life for 70 yrs. This was the most difficult choice he ever made and found it was the greatest blessing given by our Heavenly Father. Their names, Gordon & Marjorie Hinkley.
