A Ukrainian reporter gives this account. Yesterday, I watched a platoon of our troops near the city of Mariupol. They just came back from a combat mission. With their 7 tanks, they fought against a Russian column of 30 tanks. Our boys lost 4 tanks, but continued to fight on the remaining three. The Russian attack was stopped. Our boys returned home - not all of them though... Their commander was in shock. He asked me not to film anything, because the troops needed some rest. In about 2-3 hours, I saw them reloading their equipment. They did it remaining calm, without much emotion. During the last 4 months, our Ukrainian troops greatly surpassed everything heroic that my generation saw in films about the Great Patriotic War (the official term for WW2 in the Soviet Union of 1941-1945. -GP). We can never thank them enough. I wish that all of us who are sitting in fancy restaurants and buying air tickets to go to yet another exotic vacation, remember that all this is possible because these boys fight. uapress.info/ru/news/show/37882
